Dispenser Q-and-A for DSCSA

(Webinar date: May 19, 2015) Building on HDMA’s recent webinar entitled “DSCSA Overview for Dispensers,” this webinar continues the discussion of the pharmacy–related implementation requirements for the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

Particular focus is placed on the data requirements for dispensers that go into effect on July 1, such as the varying transaction scenarios (direct purchases, drop shipments and other models). The program, sponsored by Axway, also addresses many of the questions that HDMA received during the April 21 webinar.

Topics include:

  • The loan or sale of medication from one dispenser to another;
  • The definition of “dispenser” and whether hospital and clinic pharmacies qualify;
  • Questions pertaining to suspect and illegitimate products;
  • Data that will be provided with the product, including questions on lot number and data pertaining to returned products;
  • Exempt products;
  • Questions around authorized trading partners and more.

This webinar assumes that the audience has a baseline understanding of the DSCSA and its requirements. Audience members who did not have an opportunity to participate in the prior webinar are strongly encouraged to listen to the recording before listening to this program.
