July 29, 2014

Gray testimony

ARLINGTON, Va. — HDMA President and CEO John M. Gray released the following statement on today's passage of the Ensuring Patient Access and Effective Drug Enforcement Act of 2014 (H.R. 4709) by the House of Representatives. The legislation is sponsored by Reps. Tom Marino (R-Pa.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Peter Welch (D-Vt.) and Judy Chu (D-Calif.)

“Today’s vote represents a victory for those working to curb our nation’s prescription drug abuse epidemic by encouraging productive dialogue and collaboration between supply chain stakeholders and regulators. HDMA and its distributor members commend the House of Representatives, especially Reps. Marino, Blackburn, Welch and Chu, for recognizing the importance of this issue, and leading this legislation to passage. We hope that the momentum behind this legislation will continue in the Senate, and HDMA will continue to work for its swift passage.”
