HDMA Named One of the Best Places to Work in Virginia for Fourth Year

January 6, 2014

ARLINGTON, Va. — For the fourth consecutive year, the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) is one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia, according to Virginia Business magazine.

“We are happy to be recognized with this award for the fourth year in a row,” said HDMA President and CEO John M. Gray. “This distinction reflects how much our staff enjoy coming to work in an environment that allows them to be successful and deliver high-quality results for our members.”

This program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. Including HDMA, the 2014 Best Places to Work in Virginia list is made up of 100 companies. To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
  • Be a publicly or privately held business;
  • Have a facility in the state of Virginia;
  • Have at least 15 employees working in the state of Virginia; and,
  • Must be in business a minimum of one year.

Organizations from across the Commonwealth completed a two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Virginia. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience.

The list will be published in the February issue of Virginia Business. For more information on the Best Places to Work in Virginia program, visit www.BestPlacesToWorkVA.com.
